Rhyme Rush

Rhyme Rush is a free daily 60-second rhyme sprint: one prompt word per day, and you type as many rhymes as you can. Answers are checked against this build's pronunciation index, with perfect and slant rhymes scored separately and rarer finds worth bonus points.

Play an archive round

Every date since 2026-07-01 has one fixed round. Rounds are derived deterministically from this site's compiled word data, so a date always replays the same prompt.

How to play

  1. Press Start. You get 60 seconds.
  2. Type words that rhyme with the prompt word and press Enter after each.
  3. Perfect rhymes (same ending sound from the last stressed vowel) score 2 points. Slant rhymes (a nearby vowel family with a closely matched ending) score 1 point and are labeled as slant.
  4. Rarer words in this build's ranking bands earn up to 2 bonus points each.
  5. When time runs out you get your count, score, best find, and a share card.

About the answer checking

Rhymes are validated against the pronunciation index compiled into this site's current data build, which covers words with retained CMUdict-derived pronunciations. A word that is missing from that coverage cannot score, even if it rhymes in your accent — that is a limit of the data, not a judgement about your word. Rarity bonuses use this build's ranking bands, which are build-specific and make no universal usage claims.

To keep the network tab from being an answer sheet, your browser downloads only salted hashes of the valid answers and hashes each word you type locally before checking it. Your guesses never leave your device; play statistics are stored only in your browser.
