About the Word Maker

Want the technique, not just the tool? Read our guide: How Many Words Can You Make From These Letters? A System.

The Word Maker finds compiled-lexicon matches formed from a subset of your letters. Each letter is used no more often than it appears in the input. Results are source-dependent and do not establish game-dictionary eligibility.

How to use it

  1. Type your available letters into the search field (up to 15).
  2. Indexed matches appear grouped by length.
  3. Use the length filter to focus on a specific word size.
  4. Reviewed detail links appear only for editorially approved entries.

Tips

  • This tool finds partial matches (subsets), unlike the Anagram Solver which requires using all letters.
  • Longer results aren't always obvious – let the tool uncover words you wouldn't think of.
  • Use the exclude field to eliminate letters that don't apply to your puzzle.
  • Results use the documented build-specific ranking heuristic.
