Soundle
Soundle is a free daily spelling game. You get a friendly pronunciation respelling and have three tries to type the word's exact spelling, with letter-by-letter feedback after each try. Meanings appear only when the selected word has an approved review. One puzzle per day, the same for everyone.
How to play
- Read the respelling — capitals mark the stressed syllable. This puzzle has no published meaning clue.
- Type the word's spelling and press Enter. The blank count tells you how many letters it has.
- After each try, every letter is marked: ✓ correct spot, △ in the word, different spot, or ✕ not in the word.
- Solve it in three tries or fewer. A new puzzle arrives at midnight UTC, and your streak lives only in this browser.

Answers are drawn from the mid-commonness bands of our compiled lexicon (build-specific ranking bands for data version v1/2026.07-lexical.6, not universal usage claims), restricted to words whose spelling diverges from their recorded pronunciation. Respellings are rendered from retained CMUdict pronunciation variants; where a word has several pronunciations, the primary variant is shown. The daily answer is a deterministic function of the date, so everyone gets the same puzzle.
